Ms Hill is an actress......she would be awesome as Nina Simone. She captures her spirit.

She's been through a lot. Give her a break. She pumped so much good music over the years, and I'm forever grateful.

She is a show all by herself. Her control is impeccable

She’s an alto, plus she’s older, she’s not going to have the same range or the same voice, don’t judge her instrument. She’s an amazing musician and an amazing artist. She carries her life with her and it’s a different jewel, but a jewel still.
  • I love her new sound .. I hear every cracks and bruise in her voice.. its perfection.. dojt get it twisted we all know sis could blow

Absolutely beautiful, the problem is some of us refuse to embrace the authenticity of sound, music...no auto tune....the beauty of the talent

I keep waiting for this Queen to return and dominate ...we are waiting Ms Lauryn.
  • I’m at home. All alone. And STILL, I’m standing, with goose bumps, giving this QUEEN a standing ovation.

I loved the way she sang it! Its impossible compares her and Nina. 2 different ways to deal with an incredible lyric and song!

Wild...Talk about symbolism. Nina and Lauryn both musical genius.
  • @alexorjustlex
IF there was a problem with the performance it was the earpiece, she keeps going to her left ear piece, and at the end even takes it off for a moment. Regardless, BEAUTIFUL performance, gorgeous styling, just inspiring all over. What a legend.
  • Her and her band ate and left everyone starving. Iconic. God bless Nina Simone and Lauryn Hill
