300 000 years ago, a new species of man appears. He is to be our most direct ancestor. He sets out to explore the land and seas. He adpats to every climate, finds ways to survive, tames of surrounding forces, pushing himself to the limit. He invents art, hunting, agriculture, livestock farming, writing even medecine. His imaginantion transports him to the world of invisible.

What is his true story, how exactly did he conquered the planet, how did he lay the foundation of our existence? Homo sapiens is coming, he will change the face of the earth.

Thank you camera man, without you we would never have seen the story. Thank you for going back to the beginning of our species and documenting everything

These actors deserve an Oscar! ❤ they really made me believe they are primitive.

The actors actually really killed it. And I want to say I really enjoyed this, I didn’t expect to and thought it would be kind of cheesy but it’s really damn good. You guys did an excellent job.
  • I come from Vietnam, hello to my brothers and relatives around the world. Although we are from different countries, our skin colors are different. But we have the same origin. we are a family.

Sitting here in bed, under the covers, because I have the AC turned down low watching this video on my iphone, while the DVR is paused, wondering if I want chicken fajitas or steak fajitas for supper. Always wishing I had some thing else or more. This video is super powerful and a REAL eye-opener. We take SO much for granted. We have it made, and don’t even realize it. Awesome documentary, and very opening!!! Cheers to all our brothers and sisters out there!

Did not expect an ancient representation of autism. Super interesting movie. I feel like every school should play this. We all have the same ancestors.

I was feeling depressed and anxious and unsure about the future…not anymore. What an amazing way to remind us where we come from. Talk about a grounding experience and a shift in perspective. I’m right where I am meant to be and things are not as bad as it seems sometimes. Wow. Thanks for this!

The documentary shows the rise of the technique beside the rising of the subjectivity and the language. Beautiful approach.

Спасибо оператору,который все эти столетия снимал для нас фильм😂❤
  • The opening depicting our ancestors is spellbinding. It's a miracle we are here today. As others have stated in the comments, thank you ancestors for making it. You survived against the odds.
  • @FreaKaYu
These makes every human so proud because they survived! For millions of years!

He visto este video 5 veces y lo encuentro cada vez más facinante.❤
  • I assume this documentary is about 25 years old now, it would be fantastic to have a remake with the current scientific understandings that H sapiens and neanderthal were merely subspecies of H erectus (along with H denisovin and probably H. Heidelbergensis ) and unions led not just to offspring but fertile offspring. It's also now believed that dogs evolved at least 20 thousand years ago.
