  • I’m an American living in Australia. I feel these Aussies were probably very naive about how dangerous Mexico is. I lived in San Diego before moving to Australia and have been to Mexico many times over the years but would NEVER go the past 10 years or so- way too dangerous. I feel terrible for the families and can only imagine what happened to these poor guys. I also hate that some people imply they might have caused their own problems by doing things they shouldn’t have. I feel they were in the wrong place at the wrong time while trying to enjoy a surfing trip. So very sad and tragic. STAY OUT OF MEXICO!

My goodness!! I feel so sorry for the poor mother. I can’t imagine losing both sons at the same time. This is absolutely tragic! Made they rest in peace!

Very sad. I don't think anyone should be vacationing in Mexico at this point.

Boycott Baja. Young folks are kind and well meaning and think everyone else is the same. Not the case! So sorry for their grieving families.🙏
  • I wish the families good luck in getting their bodies out of Mexico without having to pay huge sums of money to the Mexican authorities. This is how things work in Mexico.

This is incredibly heart breaking, our deepest condolences and love to their Mum's and Dad's, to their families and friends. Williams and Paul Family, Sydney, Australia ❤xx

At this point, who would ever want to step in Mexico.
  • @EricBurgeson
THe problem is the fact they travelled about 10-15 miles of dirt road off Hwy 1 - a paved road that runs the length of Baja;- so remote that there are no "witnesses" to anything that happens, AND far away from any medical facility; so if you want to surf down there, stay in the immediate area of Ensenada, not out in the middle of nowhere in a tent, very unfortunate!!!

I’m always telling people how unsafe Mexico is. Honestly, I can’t understand anyone who travels there.
