Freak summer weather in Fuerteventura

We had some very unusual weather a few days ago. Normally we do not have any rain from March through to November/December in Fuerteventura - in fact the island had none for 18 months 4 or 5 years ago. This thunderstorm built up and lasted for quite a few hours and was followed by heavy rain. But by the following afternoon the weather was back to normal with clear blue skies and temperatures in the high 20Cs.

The video contains the highlights of those lightning strikes I managed to capture. Not too spectacular but it was good practice.
