Imminent Weather Shift? | California's Rains on the Horizon & Reservoir Watch

Published 2024-02-11
In today's update, we delve into the dynamic and evolving weather patterns with a keen eye on the possibility of rains returning to California. While the skies have remained clear recently, forecasts suggest that this could change in the coming 10 days. We analyze the current water conditions of key reservoirs including Lake Oroville, Lake Shasta, Lake Trinity, and Lake Folsom, providing a comprehensive snapshot of our water reserves before the expected shift in weather.

With an in-depth look at the contrasting predictions of the European and GFS weather models, we dissect why there's a discrepancy and what it means for California. The uncertainty in forecasts underscores the complexity of predicting whether we will be reaching for our umbrellas sooner or later.

Additionally, we explore the exciting possibility of significant snowfall in the Sierra mountains, where some areas could receive over 48 inches, bolstering our snowpack. We also review the current snow levels to give you a complete picture of our winter reserves.

Wrapping up, we discuss the reservoir capacities across California, giving insights into how the state is positioned to handle potential incoming precipitation.

Stay tuned for a thorough analysis of what's on the horizon for California's weather. #LakeOroville #LakeShasta #LakeTrinity #LakeFolsom #CaliforniaWeather #SierraSnowpack #CADrought #weatherforecast

  • Here in the western foothills of the Trinity Alps, I'm just delighted to see the continuing rain and snow, I'm sure that we'll be happy about it come August. January 2024 was declared the hottest global average January ever recorded, which makes the last eight months all record breakers and, in a row, we're on a roll!!!
  • Historically, in reference to weather west of the Mississippi, which model is closest to what actually happened?
  • Thank you for your updates ❤. Everything in weather today depends on how the Chemtrails are sprayed😢!!! They're doing an excellent job of blocking out the Sun for weeks at a time😢!!!
