Lil Wayne is one of the most intriguing artists ever. From his image to his bars, everything about Wayne is unique. He’s created flows and styles of rap that inspired a whole generation of artists. He’s had hits that still ring off in the club today, a feature run that is still unmatched, and of course, he mentored some of the biggest rappers of all time (Nicki & Drake). But one of the most fascinating things about Wayne is his actual recording process.

Dude so cold, made Jay-Z look in the mirror like “who am I”?😂

IMO Wayne is the greatest. He has everything: flow, substance, bars, delivery, originality, and influence. People wanted to be like Wayne like they wanted to be like Pac. Drake, Kendrick, Cole, Future, Nicki, etc, are all prodigies of Wayne. His influence will run for generations. Not to mention he mainstreamed the autotune-hip hop sound. Remember at the time… people HATED autotune and rap. Now look at ALL of hip hop, everyone’s using it. Wayne so overlooked it drives me nuts. His dominance came at time where there was JAY Z, EM, AND KANYE, and they all said he was better than them at some point in time. It’ll never happen again. S/O Weezy man 🐐
  • I feel that Lyrically..he has elevated to a level no one has reached. Off the dome just ONE bar can mean up to ten different things and ties to other songs from a decade before. His algorithm his genius is unmatched. I can hear one song hundreds of times and years later I still hear yet another bar that went over my head. It’s so deep that most just don’t get it

2006-2008 Wayne was probably the type of career ANY ARTIST can only dream of. What a run

Lil Wayne Is The Reason Why I Listen To Rap. GREATEST EVER. First Rapper I Ever Heard.
  • @JuiceMan
The best rapper of all time. He performs in every category of a MC (lyrical, story telling, bars, longevity, impact, influence, performer, record breaker). Just my opinion tho.
  • “A milli a milli” - One of the most recognized lines in Hip Hop history.
  • @zachl2965
Mannn I'm 23 and grew up on Wayne's shit. It's so sad that the younger generations and even some of my peers don't recognized his legend status. To me, he is the greatest to ever do it. Weezy F
  • @Your-Fly-ness
Wayne influenced this whole generation, he changed hiphop and started an era. No one was tatted up until Wayne came, he had a different swag, temperament, and charisma.
  • @curtlamar5046
Wayne’s run with mixtapes and features in 2007 will be unmatched. Dude literally would put out a song every week And those songs would fire af with clever lines and metaphors too !!!! He kept saying “C3” before every song or when he dropped The Leak..straight heat
  • @bp2000k
Lil Wayne is in my Top 10 ever. Ofc he had some unhealthy issues back then, but when he‘s on the mic he spitting fire. His mixtape/Album days between mid 00s-Early 10s were legendary asf. The influence is crazy After that. legend of his own. 🐐

I’m so glad Wayne is getting his flowers now more then ever. He deserves it. Such a humble human and made so much timeless music. I wish I coulda been in the studio when he recorded I Told Y’all. He goes batshit crazy on that song.
