Our dream tiny kitchen in our island home REVEAL!!! This makeover has been months in the making and we are finally sharing the full kitchen transformation with you. Yes, we still need a permanent, flip up window but I’m so happy with how everything turned out, what do you think?
It was a process of ripping out everything from the old kitchen, which was also a too-tight floorplan for any kind of kitchen and cooking enjoyment. Opening up the whole space by making it an L shape and adding a center island with waterfall top, really changed the entire feel of the space. The counters are a mix of marble and granite with a floating shelf along the back splash. The appliances from Café Appliances are gorgeous and really pull together this mix of new and vintage.
Our enamel cast iron sink we found at a salvage yard and refinished it, and I’m so happy we did because it looks so pretty with our gold and unlaquered brass faucets from Etsy.
A quick visit to the thrift store really helped us pull together this space with a neutral color palette complimented by dark reds, maroons, greens and orange. The ceramic items we found at a garage sale!
DIY artwork is a mix of charcoal sketches of a butterfly and some hand painted items including one using a new medium I’d never worked with that has pumice stone mixed in for a perfect beachy texture!

In the end, the structural beam came in clutch giving Mr. Kate’s touch an architectural touch that really sets this kitchen off.

The waterfall counter just meltssss meee, and what a treasure chest that yard sale was!! So so good, and we have Cafe at my parents! BEAUTIFUL. Also the 5 star parenting, he’s so confident and helpful every time ! “Uh That’s ALOT of orange” lololol

The kitchen is just gorgeous. I love all the different neutral shades that go so well with the almond sink. The mixed metals look great. It's all so polished and looks really high quality.

This kitchen is so eclectic already just because of all your unique high-low choices....usually a space would take ages to look this good, to be this "together". It reminds me of Urban outfitters but without the insane price tag + more sustainable 👏👏🤯🥰❤️
