It's certainly not often we get a pirate strategy and city builder game, but today is such a day. Republic of Pirates is an endearing and fun new take on genre, yet one that still feels familiar if you've played the likes of Anno 1800 or other RTS games, and that's because Republic of Pirates mixes the deep city building and resource management, with real time combat. Since this is a pirate game, it's only natural that you'll take your ships off shore, hunt down enemy pirates, and perhaps even stand toe to toe with the mighty fleets of the British, French, or Spanish Caribbean fleets.
