Heather Pouliot Kisilywicz is Principal at Ancestor Answers LLC, a genealogy research firm specializing in forensic investigative genetic genealogy. Her work includes probate, parentage, and investigative cases. She earned a master’s in library and information science and a Bachelor of Science in marketing from the University of Rhode Island. Previously, she was an account executive for a mobile phlebotomy company, offering a unique perspective to FIGG cases. Her clients benefit from a professional archivist experience in historical societies, corporations, and private collections to track down primary sources that can bust “brick walls”.

She is a member of the Society of American Archivists (SAA), the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), the Rhode Island Genealogical Society (RIGS), and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Heather is recognized in the state of Rhode Island in leadership roles: Rhode Island commissioner for the state’s 250th anniversary celebration, National History Day judge, and RIGS 1st Vice President.

Heather is a frequent Northeast genealogy and history speaker. She resides in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, with her three sons and her dog, Hugo. Lily, the cat, chooses to live with them.
