This is like a somewhat messed up version of hansel and gretel.
-
Moral of the story: Don't trust free icecream.

seeing techno’s comment for the first time here 2 years after he’s dead gives it a whole new meaning. As respectful as I can make this, reading it felt like a ghost was talking to me
-
I don’t think that the ice cream man was actually a giant or monster… the animation depicts him as a huge being but in actuality he is just an adult man… the animation was trying to show how scary adults can be when abusing and coercing small children for the own pleasure. Children tend to see adults as idols or important figures in there life so the making the perpetrator bigger than what he really was is smart asf

im... im not hungry anymore

Girl: Oh thank God we're still alive, let's get out of here Boy: Oh shit is that ice cream?!
-
If I were younger I would be traumatized, this animation is very beautiful 💀

i remember watching this short film with my friends in our neighborhood. it was terrifying as I remember and it's still the same. I was 8 years old and now, I'm turning 17. the nostalgic feeling now that I'm watching it again is just wow, I wish I could turn back time lol.

Is anyone concerned that the boy just ate another kid? Edit: Lmao thx for all the likes and hilarious comments I enjoy reading them! <3

"Everything in this room is edible, even I'm edible and that's called cannibalism my children and it is indeed frowned upon in most societies" -Willy Wonka
-
The detail of the two children clasping hands at the end when the boy finally saves the little girl instead of endangering her was really nice.
-
Ah yes, The Traumatized Childhood Animation 😢

bingus
-
And here is the modern equivalent of Hansel and Gretel.
-
The fact that this animation is 5 years old just means so much to me as it literally represents my childhood
-
Moral of this story: Never trust strangers.
-
That little girl is such a badass lol
-
Can we talk about the sound design here? It’s fantastic.
