The church will ask super-wealthy families and investors to help it build a fund to address 'enduring harms from enslavement'.
The C of E announced last year that it was setting up a £100million fund for reparations to recognise that it once profited from the slave trade.
However a report yesterday said this was 'insufficient' to 'fully redress' the centuries-long impact of the 'great evil' of slavery – and called for a much bigger target of £1billion.
TalkTV's Julia Hartley-Brewer furiously clashes with anti-racism activist Imarn Ayton over the payment of reparations.
Imarn: "You're saying it to me because I'm black!"
Julia: "She claims to be anti-racist but I'm not sure she is!"

Her tactic to try to win the argument backfired! She draws out her answers to fill the time so that she has fewer questions to answer. Take a tip from me. The more a person puts their head at an angle to look compassionate, the more evil they are.
