Some more information on gear suggestions starting with what to look for when looking at rare gear:

Heavy Helmet+Chest

When I say Damage % I refer to any type that you wish to focus on, not exclusively talking about Damage %. Optimal for this build is in fact Damage% because of all the different types of damage we use with a focus on Aether to inflict Stasis. Damage % on armor will increase all types of damage and also increase ailment damage.

Now to leave you with some goals when building your legendary set of gear I will leave you with the spread of stats I currently use myself across my 8 legendary pieces of armor. This does not include my accessories.

4 # Status Ailment Chance Score

2 % Health Regeneration Rate

Keep in mind that early on these rolls are not as high as when you are picking up high level loot but you will still be able to run the build.

Notes on the video and more info:
Alexandrite on offensive 1 weapon slot now only gives 15% after the update, I missed that.

The 10 Sovereign Shout stacks are 150% All Res boost, I was thinking at that moment that the rune which boosts buffs was not displaying right away but it does.

Laibonite Discipline node next to Sacred Oath is a +5% block for both 2H and 1H.

The next goal with the 2-H build is to make our way to the Toxic Emanations node to have an aura with 100% chance to poison vastly increasing our ailments up time which also increases our damage.

The nodes in Plaguebringer "Muscle Stripped Raw" and "Search for a Dead Sun" are bugged. They don't actually give you any "Unleashed Fury" unless you have the node "Flurrying Flames" which already gives you "Unleashed Fury".

Those nodes seem out of place to me and if they are ever fixed it would probably cap out the Fury points at 5 or 10 per node. I would rather have something more beneficial than that replacing those nodes.

Flurrying Flames is a pretty good node, I've been testing it since before the patch and I've been enjoying it. I've chosen to remove it from the build because it is not a crucial node and it lowers our resistances. Once you have enough points for it and trust your gear and gameplay, it is not a bad node to have. A good option if you have the resistances for it and your weapon doesn't have life leech.

The 1-H build doesn't need a lot of block nodes in the tree since it has a shield. It already picked up Toxic Emanations by dropping Proud Reprisal so with a few more levels I would pick Proud Reprisal back up.

Disallowing Vessel states that while stationary it will grant points and take them when you move but "moving" at least at this moment only refers to taking footsteps. If you use skills like Wings of Ishmir and Warpath to move it will not go down and when you do take steps and it goes down its one stack every 3 seconds at a time out of 10 stacks. It is common to have 100% uptime during crucial encounters.

If you have the 3 Cooldown Reduction rolls on gear you would be fine with just 3 rolls of Rage cost Reduction.

I want to shoutout twitch viewer enraged1 for pointing out that "High Evasion" block chance is a flat increase for 2-Handed and ybbobmik who after the stream engaged me in a conversation asking for tips on the build that lead me to add the entire section on critical damage hoping to stress the importance of it and how to raise it.

  • Nice video dude. This is the kind of build video I’ve been looking for. Not for the build itself, but for how you explain things. You go into detail on every piece of gear and lay out exactly what stats each piece needs. I haven’t found anyone else that does this. Other seem to just say you need these stats but don’t explain what piece can roll what. I used to love experimenting with builds in these types of games but now I have a newborn at home and work full time so I have very little time to play. But when I do I want to be able to jump right into it without having to heavily research things. Stats and effects still confuse me in wolcen but it seems like I’ll be able to follow your build and get into it quickly. The only thing I’d like is some kinda progression when it comes to passives. But I did see a link you posted to someone else on a lower level version that worked well, which also shows the general progression. Overall very well done!

  • Omg yess haha, i build it the same way, after i saw the nerf i was like omg they kill BE but you play it the same way i did but i am only 47, my be is already at 5.8 sec. Now i know that i cam continue on this path, thx for it 💪
  • Have to say this build made my game lot easier. But i have to do little bit changes for rage per damage taken couse i dont have optimized gear. Will be back to yours once got my gears farmed. feels good.

  • Awesome guide! Question: Doesn't the Alexandrite '+X% Attack Critical Chance Score' only apply to basic attacks (non-ability attacks)?

  • I recently got a Frostweave Qullittuq chest. Is there something i can change around in terms of this build to incorporate that? Or is that a totally different spec?

    Heya, few questions regarding your choices: 1. Why aren't you using Steel rings as base item? They come with innate Critical Damage bonus (not sure though if they can get another roll as blue text) 2. Why aren't you using Whirlwind rune for Bladestorm? This is doing more damage I guess, but hey, why not ask :) 3. How much CDR should we aim for? Thanks in advance :)
