*UPDATE* Amani sadly passed on 21/02/22 after a 22month battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer at just 23yrs old. Tom Parker passed just 6weeks later.
Episode 9 - BrainBabble with Tom Parker
On 27th April 2021, during the filming of his Tom Parker: Inside My Head documentary, we were honoured to welcome Tom Parker into our home as our special guest. It was a lovely day spent mostly laughing and joking despite the fact that we were meeting him because we all belong to a club noone wants to be a part of.
Tom Parker was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme in Oct 2020 whilst on a family holiday. In this podcast Amani and Tom discuss how they reacted when they received such a devastating diagnosis, the highs and lows of their journey and how they're both doing now.
Tom was so genuine, open & honest in sharing his experience. The conversation was so natural and, despite the topic being discussed, was often filled with laughter. This takes great courage and we thank him for sharing his journey with us.
The release of this podcast was delayed due to Amani needing brain surgery last Friday. But we were keen to get it published as we hope many will enjoy and benefit from this podcast.
We hope this podcast helps raise even more awareness to the fact that there is a dismal lack of investment into brain cancer research. Treatments in the UK have not changed in decades and more needs to be done so families no longer have to take their medical care into their own hands at such a difficult time.
Amani was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4 in May 2020 and given a chilling prognosis of 12-18months. But Amani isnt going down without a fight. Follow Amani's journey on Instagram @Fight4Amani.

Scary to think that they have now passed away, they seemed so full of positivity and had a lot to look forward to in their lives. I feel that they were obviously meant to meet in this life and possibly the next 💕 RIP

I went to school with your dad Amani. I must say he has raised a wonderful and articulate daughter.

My brother was diagnosed with GBM4 in May 2017. He died 28 days later whilst waiting to start his treatment plan. He was just 40. It breaks my heart that the treatment options are still so poor.

It really is such a ruthlessly cruel world that we live in when these two beautifully young people are now no longer with us. I’m truly and utterly saddened for everyone that’s been left behind, but also for the two bright and wonderful futures that won’t ever get to be fulfilled. Tremendous sorrow this morning, as well as my deepest and most sincere condolences. Xx

I suffer severe Mental Health issues, and I find videos like this very helpful to help focus my broken brain to the light. I have no physical limitations, just a very bad brain, and can't simply can't comprehend how much strength these two had. Thank you for sharing, wherever you may be. I wish everyone who was touched by their time on this planet peace and love.

Wow they're having a laugh at IF IT WAS THE SECRET CURE. Two amazing people and i just got to hear about them because of their deaths, so sad. Sorry i have commented a few times. I don't even know them but it has just got to me.
