From Blumhouse, the genre-defining masterminds behind FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S and M3GAN, comes an original horror that taps into the innocence of imaginary friends – and begs the question: Are they really figments of childhood imagination or is something more terrifying lying just beneath?

When Jessica (DeWanda Wise) moves back into her childhood home with her family, her youngest stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) develops an eerie attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey she finds in the basement. Alice starts playing games with Chauncey that begin playful and become increasingly sinister.

As Alice’s behavior becomes more and more concerning, Jessica intervenes only to realize Chauncey is much more than the stuffed toy bear she believed him to be.

Lionsgate and Blumhouse present, a Tower of Babble production.

This had potential on being horrifyingly good especially the concept about a imaginary friend being a evil supernatural force is very intriguing to me

Seeing "five nights at freddys" randomly pop up on the screen in a random ass trailer is funny to me

I recall this being a Creepy Pasta where the imaginary friend kept asking the little girl to do things that were becoming increasingly dangerous, and at one point she refused. I think the last thing he wanted her to do was jump off the top of her stairs, but she refused and wanted nothing more to do with the imaginary friend. The thing is, it promised her that it would take her to where it came from and she still refused. Then, the parents tell her that they're moving, and as the were driving away with the mover truck, she looked back at her bedroom window and she saw this fucking demon, this grown ass man looking demon just wave at her from her bedroom window. The girl eventually grew up and many years later she explored the area and discovered that the place that the "imaginary friend" wanted to take her to was a graveyard. I think that's where they got the idea for this movie, or maybe it an adaptation of that.

Can we talk about the song “Just my Imagination” by the legendary Temptations. Love how movies/trailers sample classic throwbacks

Very beautiful film. Thank for all <3
  • Blumhouse really putting all their stocks into horror movies about relatively innocent things. M3GAN is a horror film about a evil AI toy, FNaF is based on a game about possessed Chuck E Cheese, and now Imaginary with imaginary friends. I’m fucking here for it man, this is awesome!

Ok, Chauncey's monstrous form is legit terrifying. I know the director wrote and directed some of Blumhouse's worst films in recent memory (Truth or Dare and Fantasy Island), but this has a lot of potential to be really imaginative and very creepy. I'm definitely keeping my eye out for this one.
