1000 ft really gives some one time to reflect on their actions.

The Eiffel Tower won a contest for a fair France was having. Many architects submitted their designs to see which one was built and one of the designs was a 1,000 foot tall guillotine. Even though it was never built, Guinness World Records probably still used it as a source.

Bro looks straight outta the 1800s clean ass fit not gonna lie.
  • Imagine someone dropping the rope to the “1000 ft tall guillotine” and just sitting there in awkward silence until you actually just die.

They are wrong. They are referring to a rejected plan for a 300 meter tall guillotine to be built for the 1889 Exposition Universelle. It was rejected and instead the Eiffel Tower was chosen as the project to be built So the reason why the guillotine was the size of the Eiffel tower, was because they were gonna be built for the same purpose. The Expo was on the 100 year anniversary of the French revolution, hence why they thought a guillotine would be a good idea

Honestly sounds like they responded to you with an AI and that AI believes a guillotine of that size exists, for some reason.

ive never seen a more well put together man, from his fashion to his glasses and everything is perfect omg
  • You forgot the $20 bill you were supposed to put in your envelope. It's not a category they recognize until you tell them it is. Money talks.
  • The only info I could find on it was that one of the design suggestions when the Eiffel tower was being planned was a 1,000 foot guillotine, to commemorate the history of France, but there is no record that it was ever built, only planned.

Legend has it - The worlds tallest guillotine is inside a massive red oak in California and when cars drive thru the tree the guillotine comes down and eats the car.
  • @pugtrooper9891
100 bucks that they just strapped a giant razor to the top of the Eiffel tower and call it a day

When life gives you lemons, build a guillotine

*Item #:* SCP-XXXX *Object Class:* Euclid *Special Containment Procedures:* SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a reinforced, soundproofed chamber measuring no less than 300 meters in length, 100 meters in width, and 50 meters in height. The chamber's walls, ceiling, and floor are to be constructed with at least 2 meters of reinforced steel to withstand the immense weight and force exerted by SCP-XXXX. The chamber must also be equipped with an array of motion sensors and automated security measures to prevent unauthorized access. No personnel are to enter SCP-XXXX's containment chamber without prior approval from the Site Director. When entering or exiting the chamber, all individuals must undergo a thorough search to ensure no objects or devices are brought in or removed without proper authorization. *Description:* SCP-XXXX is a colossal guillotine measuring approximately 1000 feet (305 meters) in height. The structure consists of a blade suspended from a reinforced steel framework by a series of large chains. The blade itself is composed of an unidentified metallic substance with anomalous properties, rendering it indestructible by conventional means. SCP-XXXX displays the ability to levitate and move independently, despite lacking any visible means of propulsion. It has been observed floating above the ground and shifting its position within its containment chamber, albeit slowly. SCP-XXXX appears dormant when not in use, remaining suspended at a height of approximately 50 feet (15 meters) from the ground. When activated, SCP-XXXX displays its primary anomalous effect: decapitating any living being that enters its operational range. The operational range is defined as a radius of approximately 100 meters around the guillotine. The guillotine blade descends rapidly upon detection of a living organism, passing through any obstacles without impediment, and effectively severing the head from the body of the victim. The decapitation process is instantaneous and leaves no trace of blood or bodily remains. Dissection of SCP-XXXX's victims has revealed that their severed heads vanish upon separation, leaving only a smooth and clean stump on the neck. *Discovery:* SCP-XXXX was discovered in a remote mountainous region in [REDACTED], France, following reports of multiple unexplained disappearances in the area. Foundation agents were dispatched to investigate the phenomena and encountered SCP-XXXX during their search. Several agents were lost before the guillotine's effects were fully understood. Efforts to relocate SCP-XXXX were initiated, and it was subsequently transported to Site-██ for containment and study. *Addendum:* SCP-XXXX's origins and purpose remain unknown. Research is ongoing to determine if there are any patterns or specific triggers that prompt its activation. Due to its size and potential danger, caution is advised when dealing with SCP-XXXX, and only authorized personnel are permitted to conduct experiments or interact with the object. Chatgpt go brrr (Meant to put this as a reply to the scp comment but I was high)

Guinness literally out here saying there was a guillotine that gave the executed person a chance to fight.
