ABOUT VEDANTA
Vedanta is one of the world’s most ancient religious philosophies and one of its broadest. Based on the Vedas, the sacred scriptures of India, Vedanta affirms the oneness of existence, the divinity of the soul, and the harmony of religions.

ABOUT US
Vedanta Society of New York is affiliated with the Ramakrishna Order of India. In fact, this is the Order's first Center started by Swami Vivekananda, in 1894. It was a historic event, for the seed of the world-wide Ramakrishna Movement was sown here in New York over a century ago. Swami Sarvapriyananda is the present Resident Minister and Spiritual Leader of the Vedanta Society of New York.

  • @vanamatrika..
I like that saying of swami vivekananda, that there is a power in this universe which thinks itself as feminine and mother of the universe....its so real for me...when i am really in conflict n scared,..i cry out to her for help...and she as mother not always immediately answers,.if she knows i can do it myself she ignores,,😊😊 Thus she helped me grow strong n surrender more.

How fluently and clearly swamiji explains. I wish once I will be able to meet him and listen to him in person. By listening to him almost all doubts that arise get cleared very naturally

Nidhi’s question and you answer has resonated so deeply with me. I have heard your answer at least 6 times and each time I take away something special. Deepest Pranams to you Swamiji.
  • Swamiji, thank you for all your talks. It really helps to connect with truth 🙏
  • Thank you. Love your clarity in your answers. So easy and enjoyable to digest. Very grateful. 🙏❤️

This one included many ah~has, including the new description of counting the 10th person. Swami's suggestion of connecting to mother really touched me. In terms of methods, there is always immersion in nature, especially water. It doesn't have to be anthropomorphic. There is so much mother in nature.

    Pranam Maharaj 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
  • Buddha Vipassana, Ashtavakra Samhita, Jiddu Kriahnamurti, Vvekachdamani, Avadutta Gita, Aparoukshanubuthi, Panchadasi flowed naturally. But yes, Advaita Vedanta is par excellence. All blended very well. In Panchadasi, I understood Ishvara and hence Bhakti Yoga. Pranam Swamiji.
