Police brutality has been at the crux of the #EndSARS protests. A year after the Lekki tollgate shooting, the conduct of the #Nigerianpolice and other security forces has continued to be a cause for concern for many Nigerians. For some at the Lekki Tollgate Memorial Car Procession, that concern became a life-altering reality. ARISE Correspondent Adefemi Akinsanya was on the ground at the Lekki tollgate. Not only did she and the team witness police abuse, but they also experienced first hand just how heavy-handed the police can be.

What is to be done to that police officer who pepper sprayed the Uber driver. No sanction is being taken against officers for misconduct.

This is unprofessional Nigeria police for crying out loud. Nigeria police need to be retrain. See the way they are dragging drone with journalist what a shame and total misconduct from Nigeria police. Smh.
  • What is my business with your apology for crying out loud.... Pay for the harrasment by your men. What are you apologizing? Pay money for that harrasment, it's a very simple thing 🤷

bro this is scary, i cant believe polices at nigeria are doing this, this is wickedness nah!
  • It's unfortunate that the police that enforce Nigeria law don't even know the law.

I wish Reuben Abati was there and face the Police brutality cause he always have a soft spot for the authority
  • Odumosu is a lousy police officer whose subservience to Buhari (and Tinubu) can only be rivalled by Lai Muhammed and Femi Adesina. Nigerian Police Force is a brutal force that only protects the privileged few. And that's how Buhari wants it too.

Geez. So it seems police brutality isn’t just an issue here in America. This makes me so sad. They threw them in those crappy freaking cargo things like animals. It’s weird how we hear about Palestine, Ukraine, Armenia all their issues but no one ever discusses what’s happening in Africa.
