"Military grade rope" So... 30 years past its intended end of service date, and only marginally functional even under ideal conditions?
  • Was introduced to this game and played the demo when you've covered the game over a year ago. Could've mentioned that in the beginning, feels like you've totally forgotten you've covered this game; twice before. Great to see this game finally done, the demo was fun.
  • I saw the poster at 18:30 in the French Museum of the Army like 2 weeks ago. 10/10 historical accuracy

Like I said, I prefer to call this game "Regiment evil"

Guess i cant take this revolver *Me squinting at it very hard*sir that's a flare gun
  • The top down and era of the game reminded me of the first Wolfenstein game "Escape from Castle Wolfenstein" that I used to play in the late 80s on my Apple iie. In that game you were trying to do what the title says, and you could sneak up on the enemy, hold them at gun point, steal their uniform to try and pass as one of them. You could use grenades to blow holes in walls, and find all kinds of useful stuff in chests along the way. It was a lot of fun, and I was always surprised it did not show up as an extra on one of the many other Wolfenstein games.
  • I kinda like the limited inventory aspect, but perhaps having item sizes vary in inventory, or at least making keys, lockpicks, and other smaller items not use the inventory space would be an improvement.

Rats don't normally eat live humans, but they did in the trenches, because the trenches were so bad. You had to sleep with your boots on, so the rats did not eat your toes. See in the film "1917" they have all food and personal items hanging from nails on the roofing joists, to again keep them from rats. The name Yves is said like Eves, that's because French does not follow English pronunciation.

An uncutable rope, eternally doused in fuel for some reason, that you cannot ignite with the lantern right next to it - that 'riddle' is at the same time super straight forward and makes also zero sense!

I backed this game in Kickstarter. Got my key a couple of days ago, just waiting for release so I can play. He did release a demo for backers years ago, which was great but things have progressed so far since then. Amazing achievement for one guy.
  • The flower was a poppy. The red poppy is a symbol of remembrance and hope for a peaceful future in British culture, especially in the context of honoring those who have died in active service in wars since World War I. The poppy's symbolism can be traced back to the World War I poem "In Flanders Fields" by Canadian physician John McCrae, who wrote the poem after witnessing the death of a fellow soldier in 1915. The poem describes the poppies that grew among the graves of soldiers in Belgium and France as the first sign of life after death.

If you all want a trench fighting game: "Foxhole" is an amazing top-down MMO persistent war where all equipment is made by players. No AI or NPCs Siege Camp is also developing a medieval counterpart called "Anvil Empires"
