I Tried Training Like A Freestyler For A Week. With the help of Henkovic, I set up a training routine to help me work on my rocket league mechanics and really train like a freestyler, this is what happened over the course of the week.

8:18 "And I really enjoyed my time playing rocket league" that's not something you hear everyday
  • @starrwasmyst
as a freestyler i don’t do any training at all i literally just mess around and hit stuff haha
  • @TheFormerTeam
Might have missed something but this is his general outline Day 1 Speed rings 3 warmup Basics - Shooting, dribbling, aerials Advanced mechanics for 10-20 minutes 3 single resets in a row 3 double resets in a row 3 triple resets in a row - focused on hitting them, not scoring 3 ceiling mustys in a row 3 sidewall musty double touches in a row 3 sidewall musty flip resets in a row Day 2 Repeat Day 1 (testing different settings) imo best tip is to pick something and stick to it. The settings themselves dont matter very much, it's how well you get used to them that does. Day 3 Repeat Day 1 Started learning to zapdash Day 4 Repeat Day 1 Added workshop maps - "sidewaller by EV" and "Air Dribble Challenge by Gidek" Started learning Maktuf resets and ground Maktuf resets as well as Murie resets Day 5 - Final day Doubled practice time Repeat Day 1 Used slomo to practice mechanics Finshed off the day with casuals Results +100 mmr hit a ton of shots otherwise wouldnt normally go for more confident making solo plays on the ball felt faster actually had fun playing rocket league (impossible challenge)

7:45 YES!! Freestyling makes the game way more enjoyable! Being able to do whatever you want in the air gives so much joy like literally!!! I still can't figure out how on earth some ppl stick to this game for like 2k hours and all they care about is basic rotation and shooting (every tutorial says its the best way to rank up, but the gamestyle is soo fknn boringggg) Rly cool u tried this challenge than 👍
  • @PandaRLyt
Hey thx fr the camera setting vids
  • @skillmeout7000
yoo i saw you reacting to a clip asking "how do you get your frames that smooth"? But now your own gameplay looks smooth the exact same way, did you change anything to achieve this? Or how do you get it like that? ty ^^

first of all great video and second of all where did you get that controller overlay from, did you make it yourself?
  • @dannykezz1
i decided to practise air rolling or to be precise the lack of air rolling, ive been an avid air roll left holder for years now, but now ive gotten better at tapping air roll left and right instead of holding and spinning like a car wizard, LESS IS MORE when it comes to air roll unless you're zen, nwpo, u know the best of the best with crisp clean mechanics, so after i got used to less air roll more straight air dribbles, i improved alot, now i can properly reset, double reset, do the zen double tap off the ceiling, i feel like a new player, remember this, less air roll is just more control, i also learned to boost less, keep my feathering to a maximum, if you want to become more a well rounded player, learn to control your car with the ball.

  • @gigino780
How are these guys so good it’s crazy how many’s hours you think they got in
  • @grahamphillips57
I am gc2 and genuinely feel behind with aerialing. I have tried leth's rings map and air dribble map but I just cant get the hang of consistent aerial control and literally feel like I can't get any better and know it's what's holding me back...
  • @cytro
Ah man, thano is now more mechy than me :( congrats tho, mechs looking clean asf
  • @Hydro-_-
I can attest to this video, I wasn't insane at my mechics but I was good enough to get to GC 3 in 2s and SSL in 1s, but I quit ranked and just had fun and freestyle on an alt account and when I came back onto my main I had improved SO MUCH as my gamesense was still there, I could now just consistently do the things I envisioned.
  • @Awsxens1
