- This project won the research mini-grant from NAPA (Association of Nepalese Agricultural Professionals of Americas).
- It was conducted by Amrit and the team at the Centre for Biotech, AFU, Chitwan, and the Department of Food Tech and Quality Control, Kathmandu.
- The first record of Iron and Zinc quantification of Nepalese Rice Landraces.
- It was conceived in December 2022 and executed from December 2023 to April 2024.
- Major Findings of this research work: High levels of Iron and considerable levels of Zinc are present in Nepalese rice landraces (5.35 ppm to 30.5 ppm of Iron and 15.6 ppm to 27.9 ppm of Zinc.)
