  • Something is wrong with audio in your studio, hardly audible at max volume
  • @fangru7294
Lance was gangster and not liked in peloton. Pogi is opposite. Visma last year Vuetla all podium and I did not hear any complaints about that...
  • @CFCMahomet
If this is true, laying him friends, then why didn’t we have this conversation last year when Jonas was dominant? After the stage Pogacar went around and congratulated other riders. He is well liked in the peleton… certainly much better than Visma. In this case Lance is speaking through his own story, which isn’t Pogacar’s story. The peleton politics were much different and Armstrong wielded his power in the peleton in some unsavory ways.
  • Fans love to see greatness and riders know and respect when see greatness
  • @TheNyxmaster
Not surprised to ear a ex cheater explain that a winner should be hiding if he can win... But a true champion is destined for the light... something some one who has chosen a dark pass can't understand. Pogi is a true champion... we are witnessing the rise of a legend and we should be shy because what? cretins ? no thank you... Pog delivers hell of a show, let us enjoy in peace
  • Armstrong is trying to claw his way back to significance by commenting like this. As a highly disliked toxic person, he has zero understanding of how decent people are liked. Armstrong creating drama where there is none.
  • I believe Pogacar is doing exactly what he needs to do. It is clear he has planned this tour to give it his personal best... going for the stage win today is what a champion should do. He knew this stage well and it showed.
  • 7:35 you should watch Chris Horners very recent interview of the Astana team dr. They actually train their athletes to consume that much… to train their gut to handle that much carbohydrate aaaaannnddddd, they also ask their athletes to train fasted too. to train their bodies to burn fat so its not “one or the other” its all of it
  • @jamesRbale
“as he comes toward the end of his career”. He’s 26.
  • Pogi is a winner, whether we like it or not! He is there to prove himself that he is the best this year! Maybe next year he will not be the best. His opponents may train harder in order to beat him, but 2024 is Pogi’s year, and we have to let him enjoy it because he worked very hard for this.😊

I saw the WEDU podcast, and i couldnt dissagree more with what lance just said. I understand that it was an american rider, and it would be a nice victory for all the effort Matteo Jorgenson did. But saying that TDF is not only a sporting event, but also a polític event, that's what this sport is beeing trying to get away from, to even bring that kind of thinking and mentality today its what destroys this sport. Its a rubish mentality. Its a disease thinking today like that. it WAS in fact a polítical event back in the past, also when lance was riding, with all the dirty interests behind,. What this sport needs is in fact to keep distance from this "political" event mentality rubish. Not making friends ? With the peloton well maybe..but does he know the composition of the teams next year? Pogi is doing is job, and thinking on is teammates, wich by the way those are the ones he needs to keep friends, by getting another victory to his team. Not making friends with the press?? Are u kidding me? The press loves these finales. The press enjoys as much as the fans. All lance said is the old vicious & cautious thinking habits, always thinking on all different aspects, controlling everything, to please everyone, on what you might get on future. That's is not what this sport needs. Wake up from the past.
  • He is a GC rider!!!! So much misunderstanding of the etiquette. This is not “disrespectful”. Of course he attacks to gain time on GC. His whole team rode the front for exactly this purpose. LAME! Jorgensen was done, dusted, toast. Could not even get on the wheel for a split second as pogi dropped the crap out of him. Visma didn’t have it this year. UAE played it nearly perfect. That’s how it goes. Jorgensen was just an unfortunate casualty, but he tried. And took 2nd on a queen stage. Still a good ride. Me, I’d love to see pogi coasting on jorgensens wheel for 8k up to the finish, eating lunch and napping to gift a Visma rider a stage and avoid being called a bully. That would have been better for everyone 🙄. Sheesh! Not even MJ would want a win like that.
  • Very good especially the beginning and like the healthy difference of opinion between both of you. For me I am leaning to Sarah but absolutely love having to see and question other things. Guys keep it up👍👌
  • Love all your podcast, Sarah and Anthony. The higher carb intake... not unusual. Each rider is different. The 500ml water intake, depends on the heat and how much you sweat. the 500ml per hour seems old, more like 750ml + per hour.

There are no friends in competition only adversaries if you want to win. Friends are there after an competition. Gifting a win is not really a gift because deep down we know it was empty.
  • @hbg501
I think many people are missing the end game. Pog isnt just interest in the overalls. He wants to break Cavendish's 35 stage wins. Pog os like michael jordan or tom brady, he wants to win, period. He wants to get in peoples heads. If you can so heavily dominate, that gives you a psychological leg up. Again, he just loves to actually race, oush himself to his limits and hasnt ever shown the ability to play ot safe. Thats may be why some hate him, but its also why so many live him.
  • @andrewmeher
I’m confused, does the yellow jersey get tested for doping daily now? What kind of doping would Pog be doing? I’m sure there is a way to evade that but wouldn’t it be found out at some point if they test everyday?
  • In 100 mile TTs we were feeding via glucose polymers at 750 ml/Hr at 10% in the late 90s. At the time SIS recommended a starting point of 1 gm/kg of body-weight per hour. Most of us didn't do enough gut-training to move beyond 80-90 gm/hour and supplementing via fructose didn't gain popularity until the mid-2000s
