I love how most of the decades have a gradual transition and then the switch from 80s music to 90s music is enough to give you whiplash

50's rock doesn't sound heavy by today standards, but when you realize what was being listened the years prior, you can understand what of a revolution it was and why some people (especially older one) were scared of it.

Finally, a "most recognizable" song list where I actually recognize at least 95% of the songs on the list. XD

Bro Rick rolled us in the most genius way possible and probably didn’t even mean it 😂

The transition from Spice Girls to the sinking of the Titanic had me dying
  • 2003 should be Seven Nation Army considered that it is literally played at just about every sports event I go to.

The jump from the late fifties to the late sixties was crazy….went from Elvis to stuff like Hendrix’s All along the watchtower!!

The Guns N’ Roses to MC Hammer era was such a crazy transition.

I cannot describe the sheer whiplash of learning how old some of these songs are 🥲
  • I appreciate this vid. Educational. Thank you for posting & putting it together
  • Never Gonna Give You Up doesn’t even sound like 80s music anymore with the amount of times I’ve heard it in the 2010s and 20s 🤣🤣😭
  • That was a weird experience. Up to 2000, I was like..."oh yeah, that was a lifetime ago." Then, nearly every song after 2001 was just like "yeah...that's an EXTREMELY recent song."
