I think that this record is something bigger than Slash would initially think it was going to be. The performances are outstanding

I’m an old geezer who cut his teeth on blues rock and R&B from the 60’s and 70’s. To me, this album plays proper respect to the music yet retains the flavor of the musicians who are performing, many of whom were not even around during the time of the original recordings. This is such a beautiful mix of old and new(ish). The biggest surprise for me was Demi on Papa Was A Rolling Stone. I haven’t listened to much of her music (I’m not really her target demographic), but have always appreciated her vocal abilities on every song of hers that I’ve listened to. What she brought to this tune was simply magic! Of course the other guests on this album were also stellar, but they were a known quantity to me and it was no surprise that each of them gave brilliant performances. Thank you Slash & Co. for this fantastic album! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻✌🏻🤘🏻

When background story behind ‘Metal Chestnut’ is going to be revealed? It’s one fantastic track of the record! 💯

As good a singer as Myles is, I love the fact that Slash picked a different vocalist for each song. Along with being a great guitarist the rock-loving public should give him a lot of credit for the singers he picks. Every one of them captured the vibe of their song perfectly. Combined with the specific backstory and some surprising track choices (Living For The City and Papa Was A Rolling Stone) really makes it a refreshing record
  • Beth Hart is amazing. Lightning in a bottle. I remember being blown away by her collab with Joe Bonamassa on Nutbush. I love Tina Turner, she was a Goddess among us mere mortals, but Beth's take on that song was nothing short of incredible. I don't expect Slash to ever read YouTube comments, but I hope he knows how much we appreciate this record. I can only hope that he does something like this again, soon. Few artists can get so many icons in a studio to do an album with them.
