My tutorial will cover the basics of creating glas- or carbonfiberparts with moulds and a vacuum pump. In this process I use a mold I've created to form a housing for a batteriepack that does power my electric longboard. After applying glasfiber, the resign and other stuff to the mold, we place it in a plastic bag that is tightly sealed. In the last step we bleed the air of the bag with the vacuumpump. You will see most of the process in a timelapse and i try to explain what I am doing. Now you know what to expect - let's get started..

Thanks so much for this video, it was very helpful for a project I have in mind!
  • Nice! The van I am converting is a 2007 with the luxury addition of a CD player as well as a radio and a little shelf above it. So, given its fixed moulding, not enough space for a 2020 7" touch screen. I figured it was time I learned fibreglass shaping to replace the unit.

Awesome work, very well done tutorial for us newbies. :)
  • If you don't mind me saying, you should've cut your glass cloth prior to starting your resin application. I ft gives you more time to make certain your cloth will fit properly without error or worry of a cutting mistake. Other than that a great tutorial.
