ℹ️ About the Episode:
When we turned to social media and asked, "Where should stop between Florida and Arizona?", we had no idea what kind of genius we'd be tapping into. Of course, we shouldn't have been surprised—the brilliance of the KYD community never fails to amaze us. The 724 suggestions we received for this trip were just the start! We've decided to keep this "suggestion box" process going to cover North America, and we'll dedicate this season to visiting the places you recommend!

My wife Ginger and I are two of the kids that help collect money for the USS Alabama. We were given a card for free admission that was good for our lifetime. We both got to use that card when we were kids. Later as adults, I was able to spend time with my son on an overnight sleepover on the ship with the RAs from our church. One of our chaperones had been stationed on the ship.

Tricia: “Marc you’re on the curb”….Marc: “But I’m in”. 😂😂😂😂😂

After traveling 30K in our RV, another 140K on motorcycles...saw areas that were only on secondary roads! One of our trips was 11K miles in 3 weeks coast to coast...was fabulous! LOVED EATING MOM AND POP'S places! Found some food better than New Orleans at a TRUCK STOP!! Bless all those who served and their families who lost loved ones! They are all treasured... my stepfather did 5 tours in Viet Nam...he was AWESOME!

The opening shot of this video with Tricia walking away from the camera shows just how much Mark married up! 😁 Mark you are a lucky man!

I used to be a tour guide for the USS Arizona memorial in Pearl Harbor. Was an honor to meet all the Arizona survivors who visited the site each year! This was in the 1980's. Very few survivors alive today if at all!

I did that Cat Scale thing on our last trip on purpose! But I made sure that the left half of both the truck and RV were off the scale on the first weigh ($13.50 US). Then I went back through, and did a second weigh (discounted price for a second weigh - $4.00 US). I did this, so that I could find out how well we were balanced, left to right. Turns out, we were within 200 pounds left vs. right for both truck and RV.

Speakeasy park on the curb had me chucking. Mark learned this trick from the 18 wheeler. Just keeping things real, park a little on and a little off. Keep the people talking….. Keep on trucking. Be safe.
  • Great video! You both seem so much more relaxed for some reason. As for putting Tabasco sauce on eggs - absolutely! I put it on eggs (all kinds), Eggs Benedict (I have a funny story on that), Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, my breakfast Sausage, Egg & Cheese English Muffin each morning, and all Cajun dishes. I put Tabasco Sauce on Eggs Benedict at breakfast in a restaurant in Central Wisconsin one time. I kept glooping it on and a lady at the next table nearly passed out; she looked increasingly stricken with each "gloop". 😂 My friend thought I was crazy but being from New Mexico, spicy sauces on your eggs in the morning is normal for me. Marc's comment about doing all the driving because Trish was a "flight risk" had me rolling on the floor. But, hey, when you're the "Bee-Line Queen", you gotta keep rolling! Safe travels, y'all! Looking forward to the next one!
  • @JJ-Journeys
So many good “one liners” in this episode. “Flight-risk”….”9 inches, I’m gonna slide off the bed!”…”must see green”….”Sugar-burger”….”Super Duty Girl”!! So glad to see you guys support our Troops!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸 Thanks for the video, safe travels and keep the videos roll’in. Jim

This is so crazy! We are at Meaher State Park right now. I about fell off my chair when you pulled in to the park and it was the exact same we pulled into a few hours ago. We didn’t make the restaurant, but it’s a great tip for the next time we come through! This park is worth making multiple trips.

Marc; "toke" in Canada is a very different thing from "toook" but we very much appreciate the Canada love! We drove through Mexico back to Canada last spring in our Roadtrek and now have a whole new appreciation for your gas stations and, of course, Cracker Barrel. Love you guys since the podcast days! 💓
  • @jasonwatts2618
As a certified Canadian, I can say with 100% certainty that "toque" is pronounced "Toooke". Now you can go around telling everyone how nice their toookes are, EH! 😂 (P.S. Love what you guys do. You guys inspired us to one day travel full time once our kiddos are a little older"). Keep up the good work!
  • @ladikmk
Seriously - I sat here watching this video and laughed all the way through. Now I know without any doubt whatsoever where Caleb gets his sense of humour and instantaneous comebacks from - Marc! The two of you together are so funny; you seem much looser and relaxed for some reason lol. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with all the kids and enjoyed that cross-country blast courtesy of Tricia. Stay well and safe travels wherever her lead foot takes you. Thanks so much sharing - I REALLY enjoyed the ride.
  • @kylejonesUB
Making me emotional, Trish. That's an excellent connection. Their stories are one in a million, even if we didn't get to hear them first-hand.
  • @Tatiacha
I wonder how many videos it is going to take to get used to not seeing Caleb's smart-ass smirk in the backseat, making me smile, at least we will get Charlie back soon
  • @snowbirdlady7221
I'm excited for this road trip. How fun to see you two slow down and travel in a completely different way. It's a whole new experience and like you said, you take the time to see things you otherwise would not have stopped to see! It's a great idea to do a road trip using your community's suggestions.
  • This is always the fastest 27 min of my week 😏 I’m glad you are slowing down to see things along the way, you just never know if you’ll be back 🤷🏼‍♀️ Can’t wait to have Charlie back and see the kids !!! Blessings
  • @BrohamerT
Your timing on this is wonderful. I'm so excited to see what you have in store on this trip. I'm a full-time RVer and will be doing a good portion of that route starting in late March of next year. Thanks for sharing.
  • @airstreamer
So fun watching you guys finding your groove as empty nesters. It can be a great time that strengthens and deepens your love for each other. Thanks so much for sharing your journey. 😊
