This song had one of the best guitar solos that I've listened in my life

Putting a jazz guitarist in a rock band was the best idea anyone has ever had
-
Found out about this song through the FX show “The bear” when I heard the opening I immediately looked up the song. Magical

I love how Nels solos on this performance. Specifically how tasteful it is. He doesn't jump too deep into the ideas at first, he feeds you hints as to what will come. Honestly one of the hardest parts of soloing is staying tasteful, and he's got it down to a t.

Probably the best guitar song in the last 20 years.

This song sounds like a old elegant oak table that you would find in a thrift shop. The table looks as if it belongs in a castle but here you find it in the middle of a thrift shop. The old rugged carvings make it addicting to look at. You can see it’s life through just one glance at the finished divine stance. It’s the most beautiful, gorgeous, and elegant thing you have ever seen but while also being the most worn, rugged, hard looking thing you have ever seen. You can just feel the presence of home in one piece of wood. That’s the only words I can describe this song as. Weird I know.

I come back and watch this all the time. I was in front of Nels for this performance. It was pure magic.
-
Three guitars being played like this together sound like ethereal beings dancing around each other in the atmosphere.
-
At the peak of the solo I love how John Stiratt is just chill in back looking like he's having the time of his life like, "Yeah, I'm with these guys."
-
That part where Nels comes out of his solo and the band comes in at 5:30 is just so so SO SO SO Good.
-
eyes teared up a bit listening to this song on the way home... when Nels starts that tender solo it gets me every time...and the song just has that cozy, hopeful melancholy to it that i love.

Fucking Nels Cline slays me every time.

Elegant tones. Thats not playing a solo, he just painted one.

I can listen to this song 100,000,000 times and never get tired of it. Amazing feeling behind it. and the best solos ever
-
One of the greatest solos of all time.
-
I've seen them perform that song live 7-8 times, and I get the chills every time. Absolute magic.
-
Simply one of the best songs sincerely played out to perfection

Why is there no religion centered around Nels Cline?
