Depends on WHERE you go to DO school. Some DO schools are tied to large research universities where research isn't a problem!

As long as your career goals are non-competitive areas like primary care, then DO school is a good option --- but with the 2020 transition to a unified residency system and Step I switching to P/F --- then MD students will have most of the advantages when applying to competitive programs like ortho, neuro, plastic, and derm
