Maya Schonbrunn became a SOLOIST TODAY at the RSB 🎉🥳 ❤ Madde Woo is also at the Royal Swedish ballet (not Swedish national ballet) that’s the company in Gothenburg ;) That clip is from their big rehearsal room. Yes I danced there a loooong time ago.

The “I’d rather be doing pirouettes” is so much funnier when you know that Tessa is know for not being a turner (Note:her turns are fine, I’ve seen her do four clean on point but everyone at that school is insane)

I remember reading that Maya didn’t start ballet until she was 13. She had been dancing since she was little, but still. The fact that she didn’t start ballet until she was 13 and got so good so quickly…

My mother, father and I ended up in Russia as one of the stops of a cruise we were doing. My mother I both wanted to see a ballet my father very reluctantly came with us. We saw Swan Lake. After the performance my father could not stop talking about how amazing it had been. The power of dance.
