I am loving the Fury…. I have been spending the last month flying my Fury out of a Caterpillar that I park in orbit (carrying 5 Furies) - I bed log in and out of the Caterpillar. My MO has been to respawn in the caterpillar - hydrate and eat - then take a Fury down to the planet - and navigate to several sand caves in succession- and hand mine prospecting for gems. After filling up the backpack, navigate to a mining outpost, sell the gems, and refuel at the Platinum Bay, and then fly back to the Caterpillar in orbit…. And the bedlog out…. A round trip from launch back to recovery aboard the Caterpillar - i typically cover around 1300-1500km …. So far it’s been perfect for exploration and mining. Navigation has been with the starmap, compass and HUD stopwatch. The bubble window make finding caves way easier.

I actually love snub ships because they remind me of the experience playing Subnautica, where I can drive around a large Cyclops submarine and have a smaller and nimbler submersible Seamoth docked to it. In fact the Fury, especially with the Templar paint, does remind me a lot of the Seamoth, so it was an instant real money purchase for me. I do hope they'd give us more snubs like the Merlin that docks to their mothership though.
  • I love the Fury. It's the bastard child of a TIE and the Bubble Ship from Oblivion. I agree that this should definitely not be the only ship you own, but if you have a modest fleet including something the Fury fits in (which is most multi-role hulls sitting between $1-200) there is no reason not to grab one, especially if you have some casual friends who like to ride with you. You nailed it when you said it's essentially a pilotable turret.

Mirai Fury is a cool little ship. I’ve had a lot of fun zipping around Area 18 in it.
  • The Fury will have more of a purpose when Pyro is released. Pyro will be approximately 3 times the size of Stanton and most fighters won't be able to travel without a parent ship. The Fury will be easier to carry and it's smaller size will allow for multiple fighters in larger ships.

First time I haven't heard Farrister talk about needing to upgrade the quantum drive.

The second I saw the Fury, I immediately thought of Cowboy Bebop. Sold me on it immediately.
  • A very fair and reasonable review, with the honesty I have come to expect from a Farrister Review. Well done on another informative and entertaining video!!

Bet SC ship reviewer out there! Keep em coming!
  • What a cool little ship. Looks fantastic in the white paint.

When larger ships become a thing, I can see these becoming popular carrier based fighters.
  • The reason I bought the Fury is that as a Carrack owning Spacedad, I wanted a small fighter to fit in my Carrack alongside the Ursa in the Garage. I had tried a ln Archimedes, but it proved to be too toght a fit to be easily useable. The Fury however fits perfectly, and it easy to get out from beside the Ursa, and I can keep my Pisces in the proper hangar to do Courier missions.
  • I think it’s a cool ship. Definitely benefits from group play. Being a solo player it’s fun to fly around in, but not much else for now. But fun is what I’m here for.
  • @MrCorruptex
I use my fury in the hold of my cutlass for solo salvage. Park cutlass, fly back to station at high speed, get vulture, profit.

The Fury is definitely focused on being a team-fight ship. Be it as defense for bases or POI's. or being a support unit of something large. When ships like the Kraken and Idris release to players, I'm willing to bet something like this would certainly be a favorite of partnered escort pilots
