Fantastic Villa kit.
-
MOTD was more homesy back then instead of the chintzy glitz and glamour and fake bonhomie of modern MOTD
-
'Just under 20,000' at VP! The Holte end alone used to hold around 25,000 at this time and it looks pretty full to me - without factoring in the stands attendance and the 1,000 up from Shepherds Bush. Why no shirt sponsor for Villa? FFS, they'd been crowned 'Champions of Europe' a little over 18 months previous. Or was this simply a manufacturer issue?

Half the Villa team seemed to be scousers, McMahon, Mortimer, Withe...and even the native Brummie winger's middle name is 'Everton' :)
-
The top teams of the old 2nd Division though
-
What a ball from Big Sam…
-
and then it went great for Everton.

Back in the day when I actually did care about football. Couldn't give two shiny shit/es now.
-
Chelsea in Division 2.

That signature tune version was awful & was binned after a deluge of complaints. If it ain't broke..
