Dangerous Op of Motor Vehicle: Portland - Nicollet via E26th

ILLEGAL AND DANGEROUS OPERATION OF
A MOTOR VEHICLE.

E. 26th St Between Portland and Nicollet

After turning right off Portland Avenue
onto E 26th Street, I was quickly tailgated
by a male driver in a white SUV (Plate # 856-RDC).

He verbally threatened me for several blocks.
At about 1st Avenue, he proceeded to drive
side by side with me and throw more verbal
threats toward my use of the general purpose
lane.

The bike lane ends at 5th Avenue, therefore apparently my means to get to my destination end exactly there, according to this knucklehead driver.

After insulting me some more, the driver proceeded to veer into my lane of travel and cut me off as he made a right onto Nicollet Avenue northbound, swearing some more as he finds more unsuspecting victims on Eat Street.

Drivers like this who treat city streets, such as the One-Way couplets of 26th/28th street prevent people who live and visit in the immediate area of fully enjoying their neighborhoods.

Side Note:
I am a huge proponent of the reversal of most One-Way streets that give drivers the wide open space that induce speed and be aggressive driving on streets that belong rightfully to the neighborhoods in which they pass. The bollard bike lanes help but it doesn't go far enough for pedestrian access and crossing.
