We recently went on our first Disney cruise on the first ship in the Disney fleet, the Disney Magic. Find out what we really thought about our time over New Years on our 6 night Western Caribbean Cruise to Mexico, including stops at Cozumel and Costa Maya. See the boat, and what is offered by Disney.
An honest review means that Disney has not paid for me to make this video or compensated me in any way. We paid for everything for this trip our of our own pockets, so I am able to give you a true honest review of what we thought of the trip.

I’m going on it next week! I like the smaller Disney ship because you get to know the workers personally. I have no small children so we like to stay in the bar areas. We get to know the servers well and look forward to seeing them again. It doesn’t hurt to tip well so they remember you too!
  • lol we were on the same cruise and dining time. Made it on your video. It was great! Cheers 🍻

Great video! How was capacity when you went? I went on the Magic during covid so capacity was limited. I went on the dream in February 2023 which wasn’t terrible but then we went again on the dream January 2024 and it was booked full. It was noticeably packed and made me wish I was in a smaller boat. I have my wedding booked for April 2025 and my wife and I are hoping it’s not as packed as the dream was. As some one who buys in to all of the Disney charm, one thing you didn’t mention that I find extremely important when comparing the parks to the cruise, is how convenient the cruise is. You mentioned the cruise isn’t a substitute for going to the parks, and I think it’s an apples to oranges comparison. The cruise feels like a home away from home where you can do as little or as much as you want, where the parks require an immense amount of preparation and waiting in lines and it gives me a sense of fomo, trying to do every thing! Loved the video, I hope your next trip is equally as enjoyable

Our first ever cruise was on that ship last September. We loved it. Sailing on the Wonder next year. My daughter says the cruise was better than Disneyland.

Hi! I would like to suggest turning up the volume of your voiceover, it was hard to hear your voice meanwhile the sound effects and clips were then deafening. Otherwise great video :)

To be honest, I’m not sure why you expected to be able to replicate a Disney parks experience at sea. The ship isn’t gonna have rides 😆 it’s a cruise ship, not a theme park. Somewhat odd expectations to have, even if it is Disney. Glad you had fun, Disney is the best cruise line.
