I've been dancing with anticipation waiting for all the checks to finish running on this! Lots of fiddling with controls this episode, but regardless, I LOVED it. I'm so intrigued by the lore and concept. Can't wait to keep playing!
  • @mcmusic96
i've never seen that leap of faith glitch omg that's hilarious
  • @m_h_1988
That leap of faith glitch was just too good hahah
  • @Pharaoh025
Meg be like "A FLAAAG!!! 😀" AC veterans be like "oh god."
  • 1:25:10 okay, that's gotta be one of the best leap of faith fail reaction that I've seen and she was looking forward to her first official leap of faith too 🤣 I've busted out laughing in the middle of the night. I'll call that the haystack of death 🤣 Subscribed Welcome to Assassin's Creed Me
  • @a.o.2865
that leap of faith killed me :D I love you Meg <3
  • Meg:"She reminds me of Kristen Bell" Maybe because she is Kristen Bell..... Other than that I'm so glad to see someone starting at the beginning of this series, looking forward to more episodes of this
  • It is time! There are unfortunately no subtitles as you may have found out. Also the game does not directly state it but Altair’s time is 1191 during the Third Crusade in the Middle East (then known as the Holy Land to the Crusaders). This was the third attempt by Western European Christianity to reconquer Jerusalem after it was captured by Saladin (a few people mention his name). I won’t say too much more because I feel that would be spoilers but feel free to Wikipedia it if you want to know more about the historical context. Really hyped for this one! 🙌🙌

Meg, to make life easier on yourself, here's how the controls should be mapped : Consider the 4 face button of your controller as the 4 cardinal points of a human body (the aforementioned "puppeteering concept"). So, head is triangle, left hand is square, right hand is circle, and legs are X. Do this, and it'll match up with your HUD quite nicely.
  • @looseseal8027
The buttons are supposed to line up with the layout of the actions in the top right. If your assassinate is the circle button, that should be switched to square

I'm 20 seconds in and all I'm thinking is "AHHHHH!!". I love this game series. AC1 sets a very good foundation before things get beyond amazing from AC2 onwards.

Assassins Creed 1 is very philosophical and less cinematic compared to the other games. Even though Altair only has 2 game appearances ( AC-1 and AC Revelations), He is still my favorite MC in the series (Ezio comes very close tho). I cant wait to see you complete both of their stories!
  • This series helped me pass history class when I was little. Most of the people they use in this series are actual real life people and events. I look it up and learn the actual people and events and compare it to the game so I knew about some of the topics they talked about in class. I like how AC 1 deals with the third crusade where Templars and Assassins were actually real. Hope you continue with all the AC series even though it's a lot if games.
  • AC1 is probably my favorite game ever made and it makes me so happy to see people playing it too. Truth is it hasn't aged the best but damn if it has a lot of charm.
  • 33:05 The Nizari Ḥaššāšīn were based in many (somewhere around 250) different fortresses and castles from Persia to Syria. Masyaf Castle is one such based in Syria, though most reported directly to the castle in Alamut in Northern Iran. While their actions were partly secretive, where they operated were still heavily fortified positions that were supported by local farmlands and class echelons.
  • @xiongrey19
Woo! I think what's exciting is you're playing through this as a new player. For Assassin's Creed that is rare so it's a good chance to revisit how we all felt about AC when we first picked up the Hidden Blade.
  • @JustShin11
& so it has begun. the world of assassin's creed journey. so much lore. so many time periods. & it all began here.
  • @noickish
I have never seen you before but I always love seeing someone new playing through the series, I'm definitely turning on notifications
