Is Spider-Man 2 Worth Your Time?

Great video man, I was a huge, huge fan of the first Spider-Man, and I tried very hard to like the second game but I found the story was rather soulless and the game was overall pretty dull. Not bad by any means, just quite mediocre. I thought the gameplay improvements were excellent, and I thought they handled Kraven fairly well (even if he wasn’t in the game enough) but I felt that, ironically similarly to Sam Raimi’s third Spider-Man film, that Venom was rushed and didn’t properly fit into this game. It lacked the charm and clear love for Spider-Man that the first game had. Not only was it not a satisfying story for Peter, Miles also got shafted, having basically nothing to do for most of the story, with the exception of the Mr. Negative plot line (which I also felt wasn’t explored enough anyways. I do agree that the game picks up in the second half, but I really don’t feel like it came to a satisfying ending. Overall I wish I loved this game but I just can’t. There’s so many fantastic aspects (the gameplay, the world, the acting and direction) but the missions and the writing really let me down. P.s. just to reiterate I really loved this video, I look forward to seeing more from you!

Great commentary! The first half of this game was UNBEARABLE at times. If it didn’t come with my PS5, I probably would have stopped at the carnival mission. The side missions are tedious and you did good job explaining why this game is really fun sometimes, but the boring and trivial missions drain your life force
