In this latest YouTube video, I take on the challenge of building a massive wooden berm on my backyard MTB trail. The berm is an impressive 25 meters long and required over 2 tons of wood to construct. To get the necessary materials, I had to find fallen trees from previous storms and use my tractor to drag them to my new timber mill.

Halfway through the video, I encounter some frustration with the mill, and I decide to take a break and ride the Cooma mountain bike trails. During this break, I have a crash, but thankfully I wasn't hurt. I twisted my MTB handlebars.

After completing the wooden berm, I invite two friends to test ride it with me, and we all agree that it is a massive success. The berm is smooth and provides riders with plenty of speed. The structure is made of Australian eucalyptus, making it incredibly strong and rot-resistant.

Throughout the video, viewers will also encounter Australian wildlife such as spiders, goannas, leeches, and echidnas.

As a woodworker and mountain biker, I took on this build with great enthusiasm, and it took over a month to construct, mostly due to the time it took to gather and mill the wood into slabs. However, the end result is a spectacular wooden berm that adds a thrilling element to my backyard trail.

Overall, this video is perfect for those who love mountain biking and woodworking, and it showcases the process of creating a massive wooden berm that provides endless amounts of fun and excitement.

For those interested the bike I am riding is the Marin Rift Zone Carbon 2, and it shreds.

This video's effort and production value are just ridiculous! How are you not a household name with millions of subscribers? Fantastic material, man. Keep it up.

How I fixed the mill. Sorry I don't think I explained it properly in the video. I reset all the guides and the tension of the blade. Then the mill started cutting straight. The problem was a combination of lots of things. The blade was too dull, the guides were too loose and the tension on the blade wasn't enough. So the blade could move around too much while cutting. That was a huge build! Did you notice that the berm just ends??? Let me know what you think I should build after it! This type of content inspired me to build a trail myself, so far I got 4 jumps 2 berms and some heavy turns on it. Right now I'm planning on making a downward corkscrew into a big ramp jump. Great content man.

I found your channel a few months ago when your Dunny Drop build went viral, and proceeded to watch your entire backlog over the next few days. Then i had to wait ~4 months for this video. Love your enthusiasm and your awesome builds, I can't wait to see what you build next. While the wait was worth it, I really hope o see another video much sooner.
  • I’m so impressed on how you get your own wood instead of buying it😅 really good job on the build and keep up the good work always excited to see one of these new vids and they never disappoint🎉🎉
