Javy Jav, my man, you saved the day. I was on my way for the TRex when I saw your video. Ooooh-Rah.

Saw the same video you mentioned and tried his way without any success. A year later and abiding by the Coronavirus social distancing recommendation, I have a little time on my hand and was determined to fix it. Your video helped. Thank you so much.

You saved the day!!! I broke one before trying to get it done. Very helpful thank you!!
  • THANK YOU! We've been working on this for 25 minutes and getting angrier and angrier ... your video opened the am thing!

You don’t even know how much this means to me! Been without light in the bedroom for months!!! Great video and great personality bro
  • Javier. I did see the duct tape video first.. I thought too much handyman for me! Then I found you and BAM, off in 5 seconds. Don't let the rest of it turn, and apply a little upwards pressure! Thanks so much for taking the time to post.
  • I just followed what you did, Javier and it worked! Thanks, now I can change the bulb on my ceiling fan!

I think the man on the T rex video is an advertiser of his own product cause it’s all about T rex tape, not about changing or fixing nothing. Thanks a lot bro!

You are the man! I’ve been struggling with this the past hour.
  • @isladedanica
Thank you very much! So easy after you explained… and I wasn’t doing all that tape mess, saw that first and then found your video! Thx!

Thank you! I, too, watched the duct tape video but your instructions worked immediately. Light has been out for months.

1 year later - still helpful video. I have owned my place for over 3 years and every time the light blows it's a whole process. The last time it blew was a week ago. Couldn't get it to open on 3 different occasions - 3 different days until I was like fine - you tube it, again. I saw that same duct tape video - started the whole process was like this doesn't work. Your video came on right afterwards and you said the most important thing - Grasp The Concept - the cylinder piece simply cannot spin. It literally came off just as easily as in your video. Big help for certain.
  • Omg…I too haven’t changed our bulb in our HB fan because I couldn’t figure out how to get the dome off. Followed the instructions and it came off in 2 seconds. It definitely requires 2 hands. Thanks so much!

You are a life saver. Never knew it was that easy. Thanks so much!!!
  • @Wogu11
Lol I saw the video you were talking about, and I was thinking there has to be an easier way. That's when I found your video. Appreciate it!
  • Thanks a bunch! I was ready to replace the entire fan because I was so aggravated!

Great idea but my husband still could not make the dome budge. That is, until he thought about adding heat to the system. He hooked up an extension cord to our blow dryer and heated the rim outside the dome. Thirty seconds later, the dome easily moved with a slight pressure and twist. We now have a brightly lit room from a cost-saving LED bulb.
