That shot where when she sits down in his chair and it reveals the view he had all those years, which was all her achievements he was so proud of, i nearly cried.

I’m sobbing because my Pop (grandfather) passed away last month, 3/15, and this reminded me so much of him. He ALWAYS used to watch old westerns and was under-spoken but always loved and cared for us so deeply. I came into this short film just because of the paper-puppetry style, completely clueless that it would encompass my Pop so well. Thank you for putting so much hard work into this project ❤

A tiny detail that meant the world to me. A close family member with cancer drew a tree in our kitchen wall with a beautiful shade of blue behind it. I grew up admiring it. They soon passed on, and that was decades ago. It looks just like the trees behind the father during the hospital scene. That's what tipped the scales for me. The tree was painted over when we lost the house. It was nice to see something so similar again. Beautiful story.

My grandfather was born in the 50s and 60s around the time where children were supposed to be seen and not heard he came from a very abusive household he's always kept to himself and has always been quiet.. even at my graduation he didn't come up and tell me congratulations so I took it personally... And just like the old man he always sit in his chair and watch TV he never really talked to anyone... In a way this brought me so much comfort and for that I thank you.....❤

To change angles and realize from the dad’s perspective, he was looking at all her achievements. Quietly appreciating them. The entire wall is just covered. Oh my god.

The fact that he was always staring at his daughter's accomplishments. He always sat there to marvel at her, he was truly a proud father.

This film almost made me cry, which i never do, because it reminded me so much of my uncle in the last few years of his life. He was my father figure since i got unlucky and had a dad i wish left. He had glyoblastoma, a rare incureable brain tumor, so it made it hard to talk or really do much, but we all still knew he loved us. My mom was in the room when he died, and held his hand in his final moments. She was the only other person in the room.

Holy! What a video. Not even professional companies can create something as amazing as this. 3 years of his life spent on a short film for us! He could be doing something totally different rn and we would never get to see this master piece. This is better than latest Disney content fr! Not even Netflix has movies this good! 2 years for a high quality, 9 minute video, all made by one person. Imagine what he’ll make when he gets bigger, and actually gets a crew working behind him. This is the start of something great.

i find this film to be even more impressive and shocking knowing that not all of the “paper” used was real paper, according to righteous robot, some set pieces were made out of clay, recycled cardboard , aluminum foil, toothpicks, and even marshmallow pieces. This just goes to show how truly dedicated this guy was to making this short film a certified creative masterpiece.

Dang it your making me want to cry. My grandpa and my great grandma loved their western movies. I would sit in their rooms and watch it while drawing or playing with the dogs. Such a beautiful message in such a little story. "Don't run from the quiet, because you might miss out on what people are really trying to say." ❤😢😊
