This is turning into a full concept album, and I am HERE for it. Good lord.
  • Three songs made Plankton a more intimidating villain than 20+ years of franchise.

The way Plankton considers himself an Anti hero, the way he says they both die if he doesn’t reach his goal, and the way he says “I’ll dig another grave, for those I couldn’t save” aswell makes me really fascinated ngl. What does he know that we don’t? Is he actually trying to prevent something that no one else knows about or is he just trying to trick people? I’m honestly pretty intrigued to see where this goes

I never knew "Spongebob" would become my favorite genre of music.

BOI WHAT legit created one of the best dystopian Stories in the last 20 years or so! We need a show of some sort!

Yap alert: "Dig another grave for those I couldn't save" "So give me all you've got my love" "This town aint big enough for the both of us" (TLDR for those who are not fluent in yappanese at the bottom What I find interesting is that BOTH characters sing these lines. I feel this allows us to get more hints about the story. I know I am going a bit game-theory, and this may be a stretch, but hear me out. Sandy: The first line is quite obvious in meaning: Sandy is part of the resistance, and many people in it likely die, as plankton almost a dictator in this narrative. The subsequent line might just be calling plankton "my love" in a endearing way to snap him out of it, or just cuz southern idk. "This town aint big enough for the both of us" is a line commonly said in western movies, Sandy challenging Plankton to a duel, with Plankton doing likewise. The first lyrics don't make much sense for Plankton. "Dig another grave for those I couldn't save" "So give me all you've got my love" However, I believe that there is a deeper reason to this. I actually think that somewhere in this story, Karen died. I think this way because in Neon Tide, we hear "AI failed", and later, the voice is different (1:42). So I think with those two lines, he is referring to Karen, saying he severely regrets he couldn't save her from whatever happened (likely accident when he was making robots to get the formula, possibly trying to put Karens AI in the bot) and "give all you got my love potentially meaning he is trying to bring her back via machine, and he is telling her to wake up. Please note that none of these thoughts are really organized and it likely makes no sense. TDLR: I theorize that due to some lines in the chorus that Karen died during Neon Tide, and now Planktons actions are no longer for the formula, but to avenge her.
  • 1:13 This town ain’t BIG enough! The way he screamed the word big. Sandy’s A.I. voice is great. I like that idea, two geniuses fighting against each other.

"He can't keep getting away with this" Guy just doesn't miss
  • @Acienspo
The inclusion of Grass Skirt Chase in the drop was ingenious
  • @namaboku
this had NO business going this hard—Sandy's chorus referencing her dome of glass and Plankton's chorus referencing the machines he's built gave me chills

What’s really amazing is BOI WHAT’s ability to create an articulate story with just music. Like, seriously. I feel like we’re going through a story arc.
  • @StorySeekers_
The lore grows, only a matter of time until a BOI WHAT animated series comes out 🤣
  • Finally a song with one of the main singer being Sandy, i hope we get more of these other characters like Mr krabs or Squidward
  • @themessiah..
I feel like that glitched cutoff of sandys line at the end was her dome helmet cracking and breaking, leaving plankton the victor, considering his vocals took over
  • I have a thought: Humor me? Note: this is mainly based on info and a limited insight from the artist and commentors from the songs and such. From what I heard, the song "Neon Tide" is about the singer's conflicting views on AI & its influence on music and pop culture. This version of Plankton is seen as an Anti-Hero esp in the song "Funeral of an Anti-Hero". Plankton is on the side of AI through his consistent 'building of machines' symbolized moreso in "Neon Tide" If this is a concept album following a singular consistent storyline, this Sandy may be rebelling against AI or the Neon Tide. Which may make Plankton's line in his verse "Both of us die/ If I don't reach the finish line" ominous and solomn. On the 1 hand, it symbolizes how the usage of AI (The voice filters technically) is still a negative one. On the other hand, it brought about the existence of this lore, and by extension the characters, in the 1st place. In other words, if AI does not come into fruition, it will cease to be; for both our protagonist and antagonist. "BOTH of us die/ if I don't reach the finish line". If Sandy wins, AI will lose but at the expense of their entire existence; while Plankton's victory will be the death of artistry and music "Dig another grave for those I couldn't save". Sandy is on the defensive "The Dome of Glass" Plankton in the offense "these machines I built". While a siege often means the offensive sustains heavier and mire losses. The defensive does not seem to have a means of counterattack, to push back and push forward. The real life parallel can be argued through BOI WHAT itself. On the one hand AI is seen by BOI WHAT as a problem; however has come to rely on the perception of AI in order to make this lore and music; thus bringing views and likely ad revenue. If AI or its oerception is negatively impacted to be irrelevant or harmful, will BOI WHAT continue to exist in its same fashion, will they be able to make this kind of content WHILE receiving its benefits and fortunes? Hench the claim "This town aint big enough for the BOTH of us" by both parties.
