Graphite is one of the many interesting forms of carbon. And carbon I love! It morphs into coal, diamond, graphite, graphene, fullerenes, nanotubes, buckyballs and more, all with their own set of fantastic properties. Except for CO2, that causes global warming. But graphite is awesome!

  • I’m probably laughing more than I should at 0:00 “hi, graphite!”
  • “Later Britain tried to fix it by eliminating natives” I think I just died laughing
  • Son : "Dad how is graphite made?" Dad : let me tell you about india.
  • "The point is that people were originally using lead to draw. So when they discovered graphite they thought it does the same thing so it must also be an Indian."
  • 4:24 I love how you can hear the "fwoomp" of the glove as it spontaneously catches on fire when he points at the molten copper.
  • I love how this guy is so knowledgable on the art of electricity yet still shocks himself constantly
  • Blows up some graphite Melts an alligator clip Turns a pencil into a firebomb Burns his fingers Blinds himself Lights his gloves on fire Blinds himself again REALLY lights his gloves on fire I love this channel
  • glove catches fire “Nice!” realizes he is on fire “Oh shit!”
  • I'm a welder, and we use carbon rods coated with copper for air arc gouging. Because the Carbon can withstand high temps, the steel becomes molten. Then you introduce a high pressure air stream that causes rapid oxydization that blows a gouge right into steel. It's super loud, and creates a huge amount of toxic fumes too.
  • Graphite has many applications, from pencils, to DC motor brushes, to some traces on electronics, to battery batter carbon rods and allowing a fast boom in reactors.
  • 0:53 "So, the point is that people were originally using lead to draw. So, when they discovered graphite, they thought 'It does the same thing, so it must also be an Indian'."
