A Few of NJ's Sleepy Grass Strips. Worth a quick flight to visit these hidden gem airports.

Taking the Cub to visit Kroelinger (29N) airport in Vineland, NJ as well as Vineland-Downstown (28N). Both of these Airports are kept in pretty good shape and relartively quiet. Kroelinger is hardly ever used and has a BBQ place close by. Vineland-Downstown is a little busier with Fuel, Hangars and Crop Dusting on the field. Downtown has a VOR on the field and is a great spot for Tailwheel training because there are no Obstacles and the grass is kept in phenomenal shape.

  • Looked like a great day to be out flying. Nice weather, grass strips, and a J3 -- doesn't get any better. God bless, and y'all stay safe out there in the wild blue yonder.

Been in and out of that airport many times. There used to be a N - S runway many years ago. My father had a C-140 hangared there. 28N is my home base…thanks for sharing 👍

I heard JD making a radio call at Cross keys while you were on final to Downtown. You should have continued down to Buck. Aaron has made a few improvements there in the last year.

Hah. My student and I were just wondering ourselves what was in those waters that makes them blue.
