Becoming a great Christian by being faithful in little

Published 2016-07-03
In this video, I address one of the main ways we can achieve greatness in the christian life. Namely, by obeying and teaching the least of God’s commands.

One of the main text I will focus on is Matt 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

"we don't do great things for Got to please and to be thought of as great by him" I am agree with U. Unfortunately many christians think they need to do great things and dont learn the first basic lessons of scriptures. I recalled two cases of younth pastors ( They were 23 years old) who wanted to create theirs own ministries and they never learned the lesson to obey theirs senior pastor, theirs parents etc. In the end, they ministries falled and then they try to find a "mundane job". I think they were influenced by what the world says, which is successful when you do great things. So they were working in theirs flesh and God doesnt like that: Came to my mind this scriptures. 1 Chronicles 29:17 I know, my God, that you search the hearts and that righteousness pleases you; Therefore I have willingly offered you all this with the uprightness of my heart, and now I have seen with joy that your people, gathered here now, have given to you spontaneously.
  • This video reminds me of the following verses: Luk 22:25  And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.  Luk 22:26  But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.  Luk 22:27  For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.  Often times, God's perspective is exactly thr opposite of the world's perspective.
