I lived near Santa Maria California from 84 to 88 and i regret not going to vist Mr. Eastwood n Carmel. I was just maybe 1.5 hours away.

how amusing that Letterman is teasing Clint about not wearing a tie while committing the ultimate fashion sin of wearing white socks with dress shoes. and Clint called him out for wearing gym socks.

Johnny Carson was a class act. Dave Letterman was, too. Letterman was a novelty when I started college; there was a lot of talk about people missing morning classes because Letterman made them stay up an hour later than usual.

It's very interesting to hear Clint talk about film shots, wide, then dramatic closeups, etc. He became such a great director and writer. Plus, he's a cool jazz/blues pianist. Cool dude.
