This song reflects the saying, "Up close life is a tragedy. Take a step back and it's a comedy." Initially it was full of pain and anger. Time really put in perspective how much it really mattered after all. Beautiful play of life.

She looks like a happy person who came out the other side of emotional pain. Good for her!

The maturity this version holds is stunning. It’s like the original was the pain of heartbreak now it’s the acceptance and the happiness that follows a broken heart

This song came out when I was 9. I remember hearing it and being scared of the feeling she had in the song. I couldn’t understand it and I was scared I would feel that way someday. Here I am. 21. Escaped a narcissist 11 months ago. I’m just now seeing the relationship as it was. Psychological and emotional abuse is insidious. The narcissist makes you doubt your reality of torment they inflict on you. You don’t know how it got so bad, when it started so well. I feel how she felt. The nine year old in me is petrified she’ll never feel safe again, and the woman I am today feels the same way. Hearing Christina sing this ten years later and seeing how she’s overcome the emptiness gives me a glimmer of hope.

This song really hits deep if you've ever been a victim of narcissistic abuse. Those that haven't been through it can't possibly understand the hell we've been through.. But it's a blessing in the end and yet such a painful lesson.. 💔

Your voice is absolutely incredible. It just gives me chills. I lived through heart break when this song first came out. And now I listen to it, in love, settled, with a family. It still gives me chills. It still takes my breath away. I love this version as much as the original.
