Analyzing Master Katashi

They basically made one big heroic figure but then sticked into that one character that always runs away. Funny.

I have a theory, and if Ubisoft actually thought about it, it is genius: This new map skin for the Bridge, feels like something either out of a theatre or a temple. You have the landscape replaced by this beautiful scenery of sand gardens, statues, and sakura petals everywhere. The whole coloration of the ambiance and the map is more of a light grey tone, with pink leaves for the trees. The red is a bit greyed, but almost enough to have a "blood/violence" effect. All of this is very abstract and gives the same vibes as a Japanese drawing. YOu also have all these weapons and arrows at the doors of the imperial city just lunged everywhere. My guess is that this map skin could be a representation of what is happening in the mind of Master Katashi. Think about it : this map has a very abstract, kind of dreamy vibe. All the colors that are exaggerated are either red (symbol of violence and blood/bloodthirst), pink (Serenity) and white (clarity). I am not counting the fire, but it could also add to the fury of battle. My guess is that this map represents Katashi's battle with his own mind. He calms the bloodthirst of the Muramasa blade by fighting. It reminds me of GOW ragnarok Valhalla, in which Kratos and Tyr find introspection and clarity of mind through battle. This could be the same for Katashi. His mind is at peace because he fights. But it is not a crazed, berserk way of fighting. It is discipline through violence, clarity through war. My guess is that, in order to counter the bloodthirst of the blade, he stands on the bridge to clear his mind through combat. I do not know if this is indeed what the For Honor devs want to say to us through this map variation. But if it is, then it is beautifully artistic, and frankly, genius.

I very much enjoyed the lore as it did remind me of the old Clint Eastwood westerns my grandfather used to watch. I will say it's kinda funny how last season we got the Unsung Knight hero skin for Warden which reminds you of Ruth, nkw we have this Orochi hero skin that reminds me of my own orochi character Ryu.

I am loving this season so far, especially while listening to your videos.

I wish he was in between Kensei and Orochi.

At least with this story, we know there will be a part 2 with the new hero, so we know it doesn't end here. Though I suppose that doesn't mean the sword gets more importance in the story beyond Katashi but we'll see.

Okay, legit, I hate FIGHTING Orochi. Bot or human. But this skin is utter DRIP.

Well, I’m curious to see what’s the relationship between Master Katashi and the new Samurai Hero is since there’s usually a relationship between the Hero Skin and the Hero.

maybe they will show more lore in act 2 with the new kunochi hero. Also my reason this hero is female is that the hero skin is male and most new heros will be a diffrent gender of the hero skin plus there is so many ninja clues in this season that makes me feel like it will be some kind of ninja. the shadow of the new hero has weapons on her back and samurai mostly have weapons to there side. plus her shadow has horns so she is wearing a oni mask. the new finisher with the kunai is a ninja weapon and the last samurai hero was a dude so it makes sinse the next samurai would be female.
