This is the first composition video on YT I’ve seen that actually teaches composition and not perspective or colors 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 can you make a part 2 where you explain even deeper? I’d like to learn more about everything you mentioned!
  • Thank you so much. Lately, I just felt so.. stuck. I didn't think of learning back from tutorials, but instead, I had just wallowed in my own misery because I wasn't 'Very talented for my age' anymore. Seeing artists who were younger than me draw so much better, it upsetted me deeply. With this video, I learned a lot more of what I felt was missing so much; my composition. I now understand that, as a self-taught artist, I was too naive when I was young to learn more about these things since I thought it was 'boring' and 'too complicated'. I feel like i can finally let go of my resentment of others, and to focus on improving my art. Again, thank you.
  • And all of this for free 😭 years ago it was such a pain as a self taught artist to find tutorials like these (at least for me, especially when I wasn't able to speak english), it's wonderful to see more tutorials, guides and videos pop out like these which are a better help than some art schools or classes could ever be. What I love the most is that you show your own struggles as well along with your solutions, this helps a lot to understand and learn! Can't wait to try out this guide and pump up my own compositions! Thank you :)

usually whenever i watch an art tutorial on youtube, they just repeat information ive heard a thousand times. this video has genuinely taught me so much

this is so cool. i wonder if the original artists planned it so meticulously or did they follow their instinct and years of experience to achieve such beautiful compositions? you improved so much on the last example, it's truly amazing

Neat video, I feel like many artists (including myself) often prioritize making a pretty well drawn artwork which usually causes us to forget about composition and even storytelling. Would love to see you talking more in depth about such important aspects. Getting a bit off topic here, but the lack of these two aspects (Composition and storytelling) are the reason why most if not all AI generations look so dull, sure the generation can be pretty but lifeless at the same time.

The AI voice gave me an uncanny feeling but this video was very helpful.

Wow, that's a very informative video! I feel like youtube has been lacking some technical, in detail art tutorials that actually tell you how to tackle a particular subject. Thanks a lot and please keep creating more content! I will probably have to rewatch this to make sure I understand things fully

This is amazing! i can see the effort you've put into the video and the improvement between the two peices is actually insane, awesome work and thank you for posting!
  • As a self taught artist who hasnt been able to practice due to school. It's nice to see this be in my recommendation, maybe once i finish this year, I'd be able to focus more and practice it again. This gave me enough motivation to remind myself why i study art even though i'm taking engineering. Thanks man, good luck on your journer in studying and to those who read this as well ❤.

You say you're self-taught, yet this is one of the best methods of teaching art I've seen on youtube; at least for me. There is a clear outline, it's no-nonsense, and you're giving so many fantastic examples while citing proof/more references for us to look into. It feels like I've found a gold mine, and a gr8 vid to turn back to when I'm feeling lost in my journey. I'm looking forward to learning more from you, fellow self-taught artist! Thank you for sharing your journey with us!!!
  • @Sukiato
This is amazing! You really did your work, I was a self-taught artist for 8 years but have the luxury of majoring art in college now, and many of the things you mentioned have been taught to me. My professors always stress the importance of compositions and often make us work with the Gestalt Principles. This is really informative, I'm sure you've inspired many artists!!
  • @lounirs
It's so so so refreshing to see a tutorial that gives really good advice and show improvement while not having the most perfect technique. It makes your point stand out even more
  • @lazyart08
Thank you so much!! I almost teared up because I finally found the reason why I felt lost when I draw and the reason why I hardy made any progress! I love the way you explain, so simple yet so effective and straight to the point. This is an amazing video!! Thank you so much!! <33

This is one of the best videos on composition I’ve ever seen. I’ve studied most of the individual techniques separately, but when I stare at my page I struggle to understand how they connect together. You created a blueprint on breaking down and combining the techniques. This is fantastic and I can finally see how the puzzle pieces fit together. Thank you.
  • @Creative_BOI
This is everything I've ever needed and more! This is exactly what I've been struggling with in my art for ages now, and you've explained it and taught it in such a digestible way! THANK YOU!! I'm so excited to watch your other videos !!
  • @p2amorous564
thank you so much! i’ve always had trouble with composition but the tutorials on here haven’t been helpful to me because they’ll tell you how to see composition but not how to use it, but your video finally makes it make sense. i think i’m finally starting to understand it and actually feel excited about drawing again. thank you for showing us your process and wish you lots of joy in your journey!
  • So glad this popped up on my feed! I also love Buchi Qoo's art. This is the first composition vid that hasn't just been rule of thirds and actually helped me understand shapes (Big Medium Small) a lot more!
