I really miss this era of action games. Stuff like this, DMC1, Onimusha and so on with their mix of hack n slash fast paced gameplay with interconnected survival horror-esque level design. It’s such a cool combo. Anyway YouTube’s recommend you a few times now and between this, NG2, and DMC I’m definitely glad they did because these videos are awesome. I’m kinda shocked how small your channel is so far, but it definitely deserves more views.

3:15:35 I grew up with Black. I hated that there was no Muramasa at the top of the Imperial Palace. I had to go back to Tairon everytime to refill up. I had the chance to play Sigma too a few months ago, I couldn't help but notice there were more Muramasa statues scattered all around earlier in the game. So I thought that, certainly, they must have added one up there as well. Needless to say, I was immensely disappointed to not find one. Seriously, that was literally the only place they should have added one, but no, back to Tairon again I guess :/

Welp you've got me sold on trying this game. I've only ever played the first NES game personally but these ones seem to be more in line with my tastes, being really big on DMC and recently finally playing Bayonetta for the first time.

Fantastic video! I love this game, and the whole trilogy. Hopefully you cover the entire trilogy.

Finished this game for the first time the other day, no amount of therapy will heal me from doing both Vigoor Emperor phases and the last boss WITH NO HEALS

Tip with the end game tower, after every floor and putting the statue in is slot, go back outside and hit the save. Also with the flails and the ghost fish, do a jump light attack, three light attacks, jump attack, repeat. And you can grind essence, with the ghost fish outside the tower if you need to. Hope these little tips help.

I think if I had another series I'd wanna hear your thoughts on in this era, it would definitely have to be the Onimusha series, especially 2 and 4. Great commentary and editing!
