Ocean County - Two Alarm - 19 Clifton Ave - Lakewood - Commercial Structure Fire

Around 3:30 AM Lakewood got a Fire Alarm at 19 Clifton Ave, first arriving units got on the scene, and after making entry to the building they had heavy smoke inside. They quickly asked for the working fire assignment. Crews searched for the seat of the fire and found it in the basement, E-5 stretched a 2.5 hose line into the basement and started a fire attack. Chief One arrived on the scene and reported a heavy smoke condition coming from the roof and asked for the second alarm assignment. Shortly after E-5 had water on the fire but with heavy clutter and machines in the basement. The next due engine stretched a second line down to the basement to help with fire suppression. Crews checked the first floor for extension and started to vent the smoke out of the structure. Crews worked for about 30 minutes knocking down all the fire in the basement. The fire didn't extend to the first floor. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. No injuries were reported either.
