In this lecture I explain how to read HR diagrams and use them to find the luminosity, temperature, and spectral class of stars. I show how lines of constant radius appear on the diagrams and how to compare the sizes of stars that appear on similar horizontal and vertical lines on the graph

    Hello Mr. Masley. First of all, thank you so much for these videos, they are extremely helpful for me to understand the contents of this course. I just had a question, what was the process you used to draw the lines of constant radius? How would I be able to plot these lines myself if given values? Thank you in advance.

    Would you still be unable to figure out which star has the greater area if you used the values given on the graph at 9:57
