I wish people would sing together more. There would be less hatred, more harmony between folks of all different backgrounds. Music transcends.

When I performed this with my choir last year it resonated deep inside and comes back to me now and soothes my soul and my longing for peace. It moves me to tears almost every time I hear it, especially now. Music and singing have always been my place. Nothing unites you like lifting your voice in a choir and feeling the power of unity, of being one. Which exacerbates the fact that choirs are not together right now.

This has an Eric Whitacre vibe... and I love it so much. Calms my heart.

i performed this with my choir my senior year of high school and it was incredibly emotional. i miss choir and choral music every day of my life

The perfect piece for this time of uncertainty

Singing this intense, takes me onto a level where only making music together exists. Voces8, you soar.

So gorgeous. I performed this song with my choir years ago. Your performance of it is perfection. Gives me chills.

Sang this in my school’s chamber choir my senior year of high school. It was our most loved piece to ever perform. Just last month after my first year of college, I heard the news that my close friend and the only other bass other than me (who could be heard) in that choir had passed in his sleep a week before he would’ve graduated (not sure on why, but I think it had to do with his diabetes) Needless to say, this piece holds a forever home in my heart as a special reminder of him and his life. I can’t help but cry each time I hear this now in memory of him Miss you Jake 🕊️🫂

I performed this song in high school some 7 years ago, and it's still one of my favorite intros to a choral piece I've ever heard. Thank you for this performance. Beautifully done!

We listened to this for wind ensemble to help us use the same tone and whatnot for this piece. One of my favorite pieces to play as a Clarinet.
