A dumb movie is better than a boring movie

Sounds like every scary movie made in the last decade. Pull you in with suspense and mystery, then utterly dissappint you with goofy and arbitrary back story.

One thing that I appreciate about bad movies nowadays is that I don't see ANY advertisements for these dogshit films. It went from not being able to ESCAPE the commercials, bus stop and train station posters or YouTube ads to the movie coming out and a YouTube review telling me it's bad before I even know it existed in the first place

actually, they were "cursed" to live in the island which acted as their open air prison, which is why they couldn't even jump at the boat. They even reiterated that point when the woman turned out to be a half breed that this is why they could leave without being affected (on top of being a daywalker) But yeah, the rest of the points are valid Specially the bunker. A whole goddamn bomb shelter, built by hand, would need a whole town's worth of men , if not MORE, and all of them going missing didn't set any alarms? And the professor had enough diesel to run power for.... a decade? a decade?
